Although we may be able to honor your request with less notice,
please try to allow several weeks notice when asking for a speaker.
If your request in mailed or faxed, be sure to provide the name
of your organization & contact information. Also, please
list when and where it will meet, normal program length, the
number of people expected to attend, the speaker desired, and
an alternate speaker (of possible).
We
will provide biographical information about the speaker to assist
in preparing introductory remarks and/or publicity.
Stipends
are not expected, but donations for the work of the Historical
Society are gladly accepted. Travel arrangements and possible
expenses for out-of-town events should be discussed at the time
arrangements are made for a speaker.
The
mission of the Historical Society of Quincy & Adams County
is to provide for the education of its members and other local
residents about the history of Quincy, Adams County, and the
surrounding area. |
